Welcome to St. James' Cathedral Townsville

We welcome you to our beautiful Cathedral which has been a place of sacred space for the Townsville community for well over a century. We offer a blend of traditional and contemporary Anglican liturgy, and aim to be a joyful and welcoming community.

 

St James' Cathedral will be closed for worship till Saturday 23rd March. All Sunday services, including week-day eucharists will continue to be held at the same times at St Marks, 70 Bundock Street (opposite the Shell Servo) except for 10am Sunday 17th March. The week-day morning prayer will cease at St James' for the time being.

Sunday, 17 March: 

Eucharist at 8am at St. Mark's (NB: no Eucharist at 7:15am)

10am: Outdoor Eucharist and BBQ at Soroptimist Park, Heatley's Pde, Belgian Gardens. BYO drinks, rest provided. 

 

Wednesday, 20 March: 

Eucharists at 12:30pm and 5:30pm at St. Mark's

 

Sunday, 24 March: 

Services resumes as normal: 8am and 10am at the Cathedral, 7:15am at St. Mark's

 

Sunday, 31 March: 

6pm: Consecration of Dr. Keith Joseph at the Cathedral

 

Saturday, 6 April

4pm Free Saturday Concert: Townsville Concert Band

 

Sunday, 7 April: 

6pm: Choral Evensong
